Tutorial 1

The Investigation of Human and Organizational Factors in Commercial Aircraft Accidents.

A full-day seminar/tutorial discussing the investigation of human and organizational factors in commercial aircraft accidents. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from human factors specialists from some of the most prominent investigative agencies around the world, including the Transportation Safety Board of Canada, the Australian Transport Safety Bureau, the French Bureau D’Enquetes and D’Analyses, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Board of Norway, the United Kingdom Air Accidents Investigation Branch, the US National Transportation Safety Board and ALPA. Practical approaches, tips, tools, and techniques will be presented, with some discussion of case studies. While this Tutorial is developed for aircraft accident investigators with some prior exposure to human factors theories and concepts, everyone is welcome to attend.

Tutorial 2

Military Accident Investigation

Hosted by the Military Air Safety Investigators (MASI), a subset of International Society of Air Safety Investigators (ISASI), this tutorial is the forum for International Military Accident Investigators to share knowledge on their respective capabilities, experiences, processes and procedures with a view to the development of future relationships and common practices.
Anyone interested in contributing to this tutorial should contact Jim Roberts at james.w.roberts3@boeing.com.
